Maserati MC12 Stradale

FOR SALE

Born for the Road. Engineered for the Track.

The Maserati MC12 Stradale is one of the rarest and most extraordinary Italian performance cars of the modern era. Conceived as a road-legal homologation special, the MC12 was created to return Maserati to international GT racing after a 37-year absence.

Built in 2004 and 2005, the Stradale provided the foundation for Maserati’s GT1 racing programme, translating uncompromising competition technology into a limited-production road car. Just 50 customer examples were officially produced, making the MC12 an exceptionally scarce and highly sought-after collector automobile.

The Ferrari Enzo Connection

Developed alongside the Ferrari Enzo, the MC12 shares its fundamental carbon-fibre monocoque architecture, 6.0-litre V12 and six-speed automated manual transmission. Yet the two cars could hardly be more different in character.

Where the Enzo embraced an aggressive, sharply sculpted interpretation of Ferrari’s Formula 1-inspired design language, the MC12 adopted a longer, wider and more flowing form. Designed under Frank Stephenson, drawing on an original concept by Giorgetto Giugiaro, its dramatic proportions were dictated above all by aerodynamic efficiency and its intended racing purpose.

The result is unmistakable. At more than 5.1 metres in length, the MC12 is exceptionally large for a two-seat supercar, with a broad stance, extended rear bodywork and a distinctive absence of a rear window. Its removable targa roof further enhances the sense that this is a racing machine adapted for the road rather than a conventional road car turned into a racer.

Pure Racing Pedigree

Every element of the MC12 reflects its competition origins. Its carbon-fibre and Nomex honeycomb monocoque provides exceptional rigidity, while the long, low body was developed around aerodynamic performance rather than convention.

The road car was created to homologate Maserati’s GT1 contender, and the resulting racing programme proved highly successful. The MC12 became a formidable force in FIA GT competition, helping Maserati secure six FIA GT1 Teams’ Championships.

With a claimed top speed of 205 mph and a 0–62 mph time of just 3.8 seconds, the MC12 remains the fastest production road car ever produced by Maserati.

A Cabin Without Compromise

Inside, the philosophy is unmistakably purposeful. The cockpit combines exposed carbon fibre with Maserati’s distinctive Brightex synthetic fabric and blue leather, creating an environment that feels closer to a competition car than a conventional luxury grand tourer.

There is no factory-fitted radio, reflecting the MC12’s uncompromising focus. Every component serves a purpose, and every detail reinforces its connection to the track.

We discreetly source and place vehicles of this calibre for private clients.

A Modern Maserati Icon

Maserati announced that 50 customer cars would be produced, with 25 examples built in 2004 and a further 25 in 2005. These road cars were accompanied by dedicated racing examples developed for the FIA GT programme.

MC12's Rarity

The MC12’s rarity, competition pedigree and extraordinary design have made it one of the most desirable modern Maseratis. Its market trajectory reflects that status: exceptional examples have commanded multi-million-dollar prices at auction, with a remarkably low-mileage example reportedly achieving $9.46 million in May 2026.

Style and Design

Finished in its instantly recognisable Bianco Fuji with Blu Victory detailing, the MC12 Stradale is more than a supercar. It is a piece of Maserati’s racing history — a homologation special whose extraordinary proportions, uncompromising engineering and scarcity have secured its place among the defining collector cars of the 21st century.
